Reminders:​

• We are very excited to be in person 5 days a week! Masks MUST be worn on the bus as well as in the classroom. We will take them off when we are eating and at recess time. Students will be giving short "mask breaks" throughout to the day. Thank you for helping us with this. We will do our best to make this school year as "normal" as possible. It may not always be perfect, but know that your child is loved, will be cared for, and will be given the best possible education in English and Spanish! ​

• Arrival/Dismissal - Students are not permitted to enter the school building prior to 7:15. Dismissal is at 2:30. No checkouts will be permitted after 2:00.

 

• Transportation - Daily or permanent transportation changes cannot take place without a written note detailing the change. Transportation changes may be placed in your child’s backpack or brought directly to the office. (Feel free to send us an email letting us know there is a note in their backpack. Sometimes students forget they have one.) Transportation changes will NOT be permitted without a written note. Thank you for your help to ensure your child gets home the correct way!

• Volunteers and Visitors - At this time, there will be NO visitors on campus!

• Birthday Celebrations: Unfortunately, students cannot bring anything in at this time. (We will do quarterly birthday celebrations for our students) 

​

• Homework - At this time, we will NOT be assigning homework. Research shows that homework does not improve student performance. We ask that you spend time on something fun and meaningful to your family. We want our students to read for pleasure at home, not because it is a requirement. Some things you can do with your child instead of homework:

  • read together

  • play a game

  • cook 

  • enjoy a sporting event

  • complete an art project or craft 

  • enjoy family time without the worry that homework has to be done!
